North of Ordinary is a place to gather, create, connect, and build relationships in the real world. Come for an event, work alongside your neighbors, make something, share an idea, or simply have a place to exist together.

Part neighborhood living room, part creative commons, part intimate venue, part social club. The art, events, and activities are ways in. The real point is the community we build together.

We believe the world changes when people come together and decide to care for one another.

There’s always something happening at the Collective, but not everything needs to be scheduled. Members are welcome to use the lounge anytime, 7 days a week, outside of scheduled events. Come work, make something, hang out, or just exist in community.

First & Third Tuesdays

Open Mic Night · 7 - 9 PM · $5 cover

Songs, poems, stories, comedy, experiments, unfinished things, and whatever else you feel like putting into the world. Come share something, try something new, or just pull up a chair and cheer on your neighbors.

All experience levels welcome.

Wednesdays

Bad Art Club · 6 - 8 PM

Creativity is in all of us. Bad Art Club is a zero pressure night to get your hands busy, make something just for the joy of it, and spend a couple hours in excellent company.

No talent required. No finished product required. No pressure to be “good.” Just bring your curiosity and come make something with us. We’ll provide the creative prompts, supplies, and permission to make a beautiful mess.

Community Commons Night

A dedicated night for connection, community building, and special programming. Public events and collaborations rotate throughout the month.

Phone Free Friday Socials

Friday nights are for putting the phone down and finding your people.

Our Friday socials rotate through all kinds of ways to connect, including social mixers, game nights, live music, creative hangs, community gatherings, themed parties, and whatever else we feel like dreaming up.

Sometimes it’s a chance to meet new people. Sometimes it’s dancing in the living room. Sometimes it’s sitting around a table playing something ridiculous with people you just met. The format changes, but the goal stays the same: more real connection, less scrolling.

Anytime

The lounge is open to our members 7 days a week outside of scheduled events.

Grab a coffee, bring your project, meet up with a friend, make some art, or settle into the couch. There doesn’t always have to be an event. Sometimes the point is simply having somewhere to be.
